Nobody Come In.....

Bradley, who starts kindergarten in the fall, has been sharing a room with Cole for almost 3 years. They share because they want to be together. We have asked them several times if they would like to have their own rooms- every time they tell us no. Today Cole and Bradley had spent ALL day playing together. Later this evening Bradley had enough and wanted to be alone- he wrote this note and put it on his door. Wow! This seems to be starting very early....however...two minutes later he came out and asked Cole to come in and play with him. We knew it wouldn't last long.....

Happy Birthday Trey and Tate!

Tonight we went to a bowling party for my brother Trey and nephew Tate's birthday! This was our first family bowling party and we had so much fun! All 19 of us (plus one of Tate's friends Ross) occupied 6 lanes of a bowling alley. We had pizza and cake and watched as Dennis beat EVERY SINGLE one of the men in bowling (three times)! My brothers are so competitive- it was a little hard for them to get beaten by their little sister's husband (mostly for Trey)! The kids bowled in two lanes while Andrea, Madolyn, and my mom bowled in another lane. Michelle and I (well mostly Michelle) watched after Sadie and Madison who were running all over the place (I think taking 1 year old twins to the bowling alley is very brave)! Cole and Bradley loved every minute of it and of course they fell asleep as soon as we got home!

Happy Easter 2009

Happy Easter! Today Dennis and I woke up to the boys talking to each other. They couldn't believe all the string that was going in and out of every room. In our house the Easter Bunny ties a string to their bedroom door and they each have to follow their string and then it will take them to their Easter Basket. The kids had so much fun! They crawled over and under string, opened drawers, etc. After that we had breakfast and it was over to Nanny and Papa's for a wonderful late lunch/early dinner! They saw 9 of their cousins and got to play outside! We had a wonderful Easter!

Spring Break Day 5......

Today was day 5 of our fun filled Spring Break. Today the boys had more friends over to play. This has been a great week for them because they have been able to play with a lot of friends that they sometimes don't get to play with when school is in session. They had a blast playing with their buddies! Now we are gearing up for Easter Sunday!

Are We Done Yet? Day 4 of Spring Break.....

Well...we are now on day 4 of Spring Break. Nanny and Papa were nice enough (and brave enough) to take the boys along with their two cousins bowling! Cole and Bradley have never been bowling. They had so much fun! As I was sitting there watching my kids and my parents bowl I thought to myself what a precious moment it was...I will have to remember it always. It is amazing that such a precious moment would happen in a bowling alley- but sure enough- it did! After bowling my parents took them to lunch and they got to eat on a little train. As you can see from the bottom picture they are worn out- Bradley is asleep on my bed and Cole is lying down watching cartoons. Whew what a day! Thanks Nanny and Papa! One more day of Spring Break to go....

Spring Break...Day 3

So far this Spring Break has been....busy! Day 1 and 2 consisted of play dates....all day long! The kids loved it. My parents were nice enough to take the boys to a movie and then over to a jumping place today to get out some of their energy (and boy do they have a lot)! Bradley is behind the net boxing it out...and Cole is crawling through the jumping tunnels. Papa was right there with them...jumping and going down slides with them. What an awesome Papa! They had a great time...as they always do with my parents..and I am very grateful!

Welcome Spring Break....

Today is our first offical day of Spring Break. The boys do not have school this week and they are ready to play, play, play!! They have been planning all the friends they want to have over this week (let's hope I have the energy to do it all)! Today is sunny- so we are off to a great start!
