BOYS Night Out (....well in...)

It was Star Wars movie night at our house tonight! I don't know who was more excited Dennis or the boys! They sat down with their popcorn and watched one of the original Star Wars. The boys loved it!

First Dentist Visit.....

Ok..don't judge me....today was our very first dentist visit. I have no idea why I have been putting it off for so long. So I was happy when it went really well. The kids did awesome and they have no cavities and very strong healthy teeth! YEA! There was no crying (ok a little from Bradley...but he stopped almost as quickly as he started). The staff was great and I am so grateful!

Cole's Science Fair.....

Cole had his Science Fair at school today. He had to memorize a little part and the whole class told us all about their scientific experiment of baking a cake! He had to say "the liquid batter was now a solid cake." I never knew there was so much "science" involved in baking a cake (mostly because I don't bake that many cakes)! He did a great job and I am so proud of him!

How did I get so lucky......?

I get asked this question a lot. I do have a very "lucky" life...well "happy" life. This question is usually asked after people watch how Dennis treats me or after hanging out with Dennis. I have to say- I AM LUCKY! My husband is amazing. He is wonderful to me and to our cute kids (he is even adorable with the one that is in my belly right now)! He is a constant reminder to myself that I am very blessed to always have my best friend with me to support me and love me no matter what (and if you ask my family...that can be tough to do at times). I am not one to usually brag....or write personal things about myself or Dennis on this blog..or anywhere...but in the last week I have had quite a few people tell me how lucky I am to have him! I am so grateful for him and how wonderful he has made my life. He always puts us first. He is the calm in our lives and he always makes us laugh! So I have to agree...I am lucky!

Happy Valentine's Day 2009

Happy Valentine's Day from us to you! We hope you all had a great day!

The boys had a school Valentine's party yesterday and had so much fun! Tonight they had some friends over and made some Valentine's cookies and had fun playing! What a great day!

Spring Fever....

Day 1 (Friday): As Cole got into the car from school today he had the saddest face! I asked him what was wrong and he told me he did not feel well. Once we got home we took his temp and it was 102. We got him on the couch with a blanket and some medicine (and of course some jammie's) and there he was for the rest of the night. Of course Bradley had to join him for the slumber party.






Day 2 (Saturday): Cole's fever was still high and he did not want to leave his spot on the couch. Bradley was so worried about him he wanted to go to Target and get him some popcorn (Cole's favorite treat) and Madagascar 2 to cheer him up! Cole ate about 2 bites of his popcorn and then went right back to lying down! (Don't worry...Bradley was nice enough to finish his popcorn for him). Bradley wanted him to be with Cole so he got back in his pajamas and put his blanket right next to Cole's!




Day 3 (Sunday): Cole is feeling better and has a smile on his face. He did stay down for most of the day unless Bradley wanted him to play with him for a minute! Bradley and Dennis were good boys and went to church (we were really impressed that Bradley was willing to go...but after two days at home, he was ready to get out of the house)!




Well- this is our THIRD weekend of having someone sick in the family. We made it from September- January without one sick child and now we are getting our dose of reality! We have SPRING FEVER! We can't wait for the warm weather and the air to get better (especially for my sweet asthmatic Cole)! As Bradley counts down the days to his birthday on March 2nd the rest of the family is counting down the days to the first day of Spring on March 20th! We can't wait!
