When Life Hands You.......

It has been a long time since I have posted. I suppose I have been waiting for something fun and exciting to happen (and it actually has...I will post that next) but for MUCH too long it has been crying and misery in the LaTour household! Since Beckham was born, sleep has not been our friend. Beckham has never been able to lie down flat on his back.. mostly due to reflux. We have gotten used to minimal sleep, but until December 15th we had no idea on how little sleep we would actually start getting. My three little guys have had a hard 2 1/2 months. Cole (being the one with the chronic illness...asthma) has been our healthiest. Which is actually one less worry on our minds since, because, if history is any indicator he is hospitalized at least once almost every winter. So far so good. Knock on wood. Bradlay has battled constant ear infections and colds. He really does well though and gets through it ok. We battled ear infections when Bradley was younger and ended up getting tubes. We had to do that twice for him. It did improve but now this year it seems like he is back to struggling with the pain of ear infections. He is doing better and looking forward to his 6th birthday party. Now last (but NEVER least) is our sweet Beckham. He has had it the worst. He has had a constant ear infection since January 6th. He has been on several antibiotics (even the injection kind) and nothing clears his little ears. He is in constant pain, especially at night. So from what little sleep we were getting before it is even less now. Constant crying at night- sometimes full on screaming and a lot of sleeping in a chair to keep him as upright as we can. After several hundred dollars spent on dr appointments and medicine we finally went and saw an ENT doctor. Tubes it is for Beckham. The surgery was yesterday. It went very well and he seems to be feeling better. Last night was a rough night again but we were warned that would happen....so cross your fingers that in time we may actually get a full nights sleep! So WHEN LIFE HANDS YOU BAD EARS...... you get tubes and pray for the best! :) Here is my little guy in the hospital. The staff and doctors were wonderful- very cute with him!

Oh Emily! I had no idea that was going on! He is just so adorable. My fingers are crossed that the tubes make him feel better and that everyone else is healthy and happy too!
